Domain Based Security

QinetiQ's Domain Based Security (DBSy®) is a package of concepts, methods and techniques to assist those who regard information security as a key component of their business strategy.

The DBSy® core concepts provide a firm basis for understanding the principles of information security protection in a business context.

Designed and developed by QinetiQ for the UK MoD DBSy® is now available to support other customers who need to ensure that security controls are placed where they can support, rather than interfere with business processes.

The techniques involve the development of Security Architecture Models, which are used for understanding security requirements, analysing security risks and specifying the security controls necessary to meet protections needs.

The DBSy® methods define how and when to apply the techniques throughout the project life-cycle or a programme of strategic change.
