Many of QinetiQ’s engineers are trained and experienced in technical authoring, and we retain a number of dedicated technical authors. Our skills in this area have been deployed on a wide variety of projects and audiences. This has ranged from both end-user and system-maintainer software documentation, to on-line help pages, to printed training manuals and mini-booklets and other documents. Documentation has been delivered as part of systems delivered under UOR’s and training and education services. For the last nine years the Highway Agency has engaged QinetiQ’s technical authors to write control room software configuration documentation and control room training documentation.
Standards used by our Technical Authors include BS5261, BS5555 and BS5775. In addition our Technical authors often have a role in Project Quality Review. |
