Near real-time Ship Detection from SAR Imagery To support your monitoring and surveillance requirements we offer operational services. With satellites providing the advantage of wide area coverage, exploitation of this data source can offer significant support to aerial or 'man on the ground' surveillance facilitating a semi-automated, near real-time monitoring service.

Specific applications can be developed as required by customers, key examples of which include:

- detection of ships at sea to prevent illegal fishing activities
- detection and monitoring of oil spills

In addition, such services when coupled to models, provide a predictive facility as we have done with the oil spill service and tidal models.
