QinetiQ takes an active role in furthering research and development through partner universities.
QinetiQ expands its business through collaborative programmes with universities by applying new academic scientific and technological discoveries to defence, other areas of government and commercial sectors.
Working with partner universities enables QinetiQ to maintain an active involvement in leading edge science and technology along with access to expertise, facilities and resources that complement and supplement those internal to QinetiQ. A key feature of the partnerships is collaborating teams of staff, students and researchers in both organisations, and at all levels.
Universities have been actively involved with QinetiQ for many years. Our partnerships are being built where links already exist and it is intended that the partnerships will expand across the UK. In the longer term links may be developed with a few universities overseas.
While it is intended that partnerships will consolidate and enhance interactions with partner universities, QinetiQ will also foster links with groups in other universities that offer specialist expertise.
